GAME STUDIO · COMING SOON

Turn a learning objective into a playable system students can inspect.

Game Studio is planned as the second Splash creation environment. Students will design small browser-based learning games while examining rules, variables, conditions, generated code, factual content, and the choices that shaped the experience.

ROADMAP CONCEPT · GAME GENERATION IS NOT LIVE ON THIS WEBSITE
CLASSROOM POSSIBILITIES

Games can make systems thinking visible.

Math practice

Fraction challenges, coordinate-plane games, algebra puzzles, and feedback loops tied to teacher-defined skills.

Science systems

Food-web simulations, ecosystem decisions, forces and motion, classification, or cause-and-effect models.

Vocabulary & history

Matching, timelines, escape-room challenges, source-based scenarios, and concept-review experiences.

PLANNED PIPELINE

Idea → rules → code → sandbox → review → play.

1Teacher objective and allowed game type
2Student concept and mechanics
3Safety + assignment check
4Source retrieval for factual content
5Game-design plan
6HTML / CSS / JavaScript generation
7Static and policy review of generated code
8Sandboxed execution
9Content and gameplay validation
10Playable student result
GAME GLASS BOX

Students should be able to inspect the logic behind play.

Rules

What causes a correct answer, a penalty, a level change, or a win?

Variables

Which values store score, time, player state, difficulty, or learning progress?

Code

Older students can progressively inspect generated functions, conditions, and event logic rather than treating the game as magic.

SAFETY BEFORE PLAY

Generated code needs its own guardrails.

Game Studio should use sandboxed execution, restricted browser capabilities, code inspection, content moderation, network restrictions, and age-appropriate gameplay checks before a student can run generated code.

No arbitrary system access
No credential collection
No malicious code
No unsafe external calls
No gambling mechanics
No adult content
No harmful challenges
Teacher-scoped objectives
